The boxing fitness trend that has been setting New York and LA on fire is now in the Magic City. Battle Republic is a boxing-inspired gym that combines High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and strength training for kickass results. With state of the art technology and a DJ booth playing a killer playlist, Battle is for the people who want to put work in and have fun while doing it. “One step at a time. One punch at a time. One round at a time.” Battle was founded by four entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity in the Birmingham fitness scene to shake things up. Although each has a unique background – MMA training, WNBA coaching, and running a national brand – they all found common ground in creating the next generation of fighters in Birmingham.




What is a typical Battle workout?

Let’s keep it simple - it’s kickass. Spend half of the class swinging punches at our state-of-the-art water bags and the other half of the class doing floorwork, getting that *peach* into shape. Bottom line: the playlist is hype, the lights are low, and the results are out of this world.

Are there different types of classes?

We offer our Battle HIIT 45-minute class, our Knockout Express 30-minute class, 1-on-1 private training sessions, and special events. Four options, all guaranteed to give you those killer results.

What if I can’t do everything in class?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Our trainers will be with you every step of the way.

Do I need to bring my own equipment (gloves, wraps, etc.)?

Nope! Gloves are included, but feel free to bring your own! Bring your own wraps, or purchase ours.

How old do you have to be to take a class?

The big 1-3. We can also offer special event classes that are catered for all ages.

Can I take a class if I’m pregnant?

All hot mamas are welcome! But a private consultation prior to class is required. And as always consult your doctor!


Do I need to create an account?

Yep, but it won’t take long! In order to sign up for a class you must create an account online or on our app. If you have trouble, one of our assistants at the front desk can get you set up. Click Here to Sign Up!

What types of packages are offered?

We offer various class credit and monthly membership options for group training, as well as class credits for personal training sessions. Click here for pricing and package options.

How often does the schedule change and when can I book?

Our schedule doesn’t change often. One full week of classes becomes available for booking every Monday at 7am.

How does the waitlist work?

Our waitlist works on a first come, first serve basis. If another members drops a class and you’re first up on the list, we’ll email you to let you know you’ve got a bag locked down.

Tupac said things change … and that’s the way it is -- so sometimes we have drop-outs less than 2 hours before class time. If that opens up a spot for you, we’ll reach out to confirm you can still make it!

How do I receive notifications?

To stay in the know about any schedule updates, waitlist changes, cancellations, etc., use the BR app or log into Mariana Tek on your desktop to update your notification preferences. Once logged in, visit My Profile and check off which notifications you’d like to receive.

How do I schedule a private lesson?

Where do I park?

Four hour street parking is available on 18th Street or you can park in the parking lot behind our studio.

Do you have a place for me to store my items?

We got you! Cubbies are provided for you to store your personal items during class.

Do you have water or should I bring my own?

Bring your own or buy one at our front desk.

Do you have showers?

We don’t want you continuing your day all sweaty! We have 2 showers that are stocked with all of the essentials to have you smelling good and looking fly!


It’s my first class, when should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 20 minutes before class for check-in. We also offer virtual or in-person consultations to learn more about Battle before your first class. Click to book a pre-class appointment at Homewood or The Summit.

What if I’m running late?

In the words of Drake, “Better late than never, but never late is better.” No entry 5 minutes after the class has started. If it’s your first time, we recommend rescheduling so you’ve got time to get the best setup for that first class!

What if I need to cancel?

It happens - we get it. Just remember to do so at least 2 hours before start time to avoid losing your class credit. If you have an unlimited package and you cancel too late or you no-show, you’ll also be charged a late fee of $15.

What should I wear?

Dress to sweat! Athletic attire recommended. Shoes required.
